I am grateful to God that I was led to Christian Science. When I sincerely reached out for an understanding of this Science and its teachings, the way of Life opened up for me. A higher sense of home was expressed, and the rearing of six children became more harmonious.

Numerous so-called children's diseases were healed, and finally there were several instances of mental surgery. Mrs. Eddy states in the Christian Science textbook (p. 402), "Christian Science is always the most skilful surgeon, but surgery is the branch of its healing which will be last acknowledged."

One of our young boys was examined at school by a doctor whose pronouncement was that there was a displacement of one of his organs and that, in his opinion, the boy should be operated upon immediately. We accepted the assurance of a Christian Science practitioner, whom we asked to treat our son, that the real man, a spiritual idea governed by God, divine Principle, can never be changed, and soon the organ returned to its correct position. Also during this time of quiet study and prayer about thirty warts were removed from one of the boy's hands.
