My husband passed on suddenly when we were living in a small town in an eastern state. This experience was very severe. No one who was with me at the time was friendly to Christian Science. When I was not able to get in touch with a practitioner, I reasoned that now was the time to apply what I had been studying of Life, and I turned to God for my help. I knew that since God is Life, and Life is eternal, Life continues. When my mother had passed on a few months after I had learned of Christian Science, a practitioner had made it clear to me that my mother could well be progressing faster spiritually than I was. So then I knew that this could also be true of my husband. With this realization and my knowledge of Life eternal, I was healed of grief.

The year after my husband passed on I had class instruction, and this was a joyous experience. From it and the subsequent association meeting each year, much proof of God's love and power has unfolded to me.

About twelve years ago I had a healing of a rash that covered my body from my neck to my knees. At times it disappeared— or nearly so. Then it became more severe than ever. One morning before I went to work, after a sleepless night, I was walking the floor, with tears pouring from my eyes. I cried out to God to tell me what to do and what was wrong in my thinking.
