I did not take up Christian Science...
I did not take up Christian Science because I was in need of healing but because it gave me a clearer understanding of the Bible. In later years, however, I did have need of its healing power. An abdominal ailment developed that was at times quite severe. I was able to carry on with my work most of the time, but the condition continued to be very troublesome.
Finally I decided to ask for help through prayer in Science. I had treatment for some time, and there was improvement. Later I asked the practitioner to work for me again, and a short time after this work had been discontinued I realized that I was healed. The healing took place over twenty years ago and has been permanent. I was also healed at that time of migraine.
I have been protected in automobile accidents and at different times when I have fallen. In each instance I was quickly able to overcome any sense of shock and hurt.
