Each year my gratitude increases for the wonderful truths I have learned through the study and application of Christian Science. The privilege of attending Sunday School is one I shall always cherish, for it is to the fundamental instruction I gained there that I attribute much of my understanding of Science.

While I was flying in the Orient several years ago, the airplane in which I was a passenger was attempting to land in zero visibility. We circled the airport for some thirty minutes in complete fog and darkness. Then the words of the ninety-first Psalm, which I had learned in the Christian Science Sunday School, came to my thought. Suddenly I knew with absolute certainty that God's ever-present power and protection were right there enfolding all in His loving care. Almost immediately the fog went back on both sides of the airplane, revealing the runway below.

Afterward, when we had landed, the pilot remarked on his way out of the airplane that he was amazed at the clear and direct path which opened up right in front of the cockpit all the way to the ground "as if it were by magic." I knew, of course, that it had been the manifestation of God's protection.
