RADIO PROGRAM No. 444 - Discovering True Happiness
SPEAKER: Some of us may know from bitter experience the heartache and despair that can come with the sudden loss of our home, our family, and our security. Our guest does. And she's going to tell us of her search for happiness and how she found it. As a courtesy, because of the nature of the experience, we're not going to use her real name. We are going to call her Mrs. Smith. But I want to emphasize that she is the woman who had the experience, which has been verified and is in our files.
MRS. SMITH: I'm happy to tell what occurred. It took several years of patient plodding and a spiritual rebirth before the victory came. The situation was this. In May of 1952 events took a very sudden and unexpected turn in my life, so sudden that within the short period of one weekend I was left without companionship and very shortly thereafter without home and virtually no income. Almost everything I cherished in life was gone.
My husband had been having a series of business problems, and his concern over them seemed to come to a head. He reached a point where he felt that he didn't want any further connection with anything or anyone he had known before. So our home was broken up permanently at that time.
