I count as my greatest blessing the fact that I have always had Christian Science to guide me. My grandmother heard of a book she could send for that would heal people. She sent for it, and it turned out to be Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Through the reading of this book she became strong and active after having been in delicate health all her life. Afterward she was able to help others through the application of Science.

The first recollection I have of using this religion myself dates from the time I was a very young child. I had lost something, and my mother told me to take my copy of Science and Health and read. After reading for some time, I went directly to where the missing article was.

Some years ago a severe pain came several times at intervals in one of the organs of my body. One day I turned in prayer to God, and these words from "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mrs. Eddy came to me (p. 56): "Life is inorganic, infinite Spirit." This truth completely routed the belief that there are material organs in Life, and I was healed. Twice, a long time after, the pain returned in a mild form. By knowing that all healing in Science is permanent and cannot be reversed, I became free.
