Christian Science was presented to my family in 1913. My mother had developed what two doctors diagnosed as tuberculosis, and she was given but a short time to live. It was then that she decided to take up the study of this practical truth in earnest.

The first healing evidenced was that of severe headaches, from which she had suffered over a period of several years. Through the help of a practitioner she was healed in one treatment.

A sincere desire for a correct understanding of God and the consecrated study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, brought about the healing of the tuberculosis. The entire atmosphere of our home changed. During the years following, there were many other healings in our family, such as those of pneumonia, carbuncles, broken bones, and a tumor.
