Thoughts are things, the things out of which life is made, interest and enjoyment are made. The Bible says, "As [a man] thinketh in his heart, so he is." How terribly important are thoughts. They can paralyse our whole personality or they can charge it with radiant and dynamic energy. . . .

In one of the wartime prison camps of Europe where life was a constant misery this axiom was shared, "There is nothing to fear but fear." Another way of saying that it is what gets into your mind that determines the nature of your life. . . .
