The Warp and the Woof
"Our consistent and persistent affirmations and denials become woven into a strong fabric"
When a Christian Scientist speaks of doing his daily metaphysical protective work, he does not mean that there is some real evil or danger from which he must defend himself. He means defending himself against the false suggestions, both general and specific, that there can be anything unlike good. The basis for this work is found in the first chapter of Genesis, where we are told that everything He made is good, "very good," and it is also found in the writings of Mrs. Eddy.
