"Take my yoke upon you"

"The yoke of Christ blesses one and enables him
to work joyously through each day"

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matt. 11: 28-30). What a world of meaning these words of Christ Jesus carry! How many mortals, groaning inwardly over what they believed was the inescapable weight of the world's burdens, have found release through accepting this great invitation!
