GOOD NOT LOCALIZED

Naaman's story speaks to me
Of a man of honest thought.
Outward show of power crept in,
Self-assertion, and disdain.

Hearts his kindliness had won
Called him to the path of light;
Israel's child and Syrian youth,
Rank and nationhood dethroned.

Man of God a message sent,
Baffling in simplicity.
Cleanliness is right at hand,
Even in a stranger's land.

Open thought to God's commands,
Lofty in humility.
Seven times completeness told,
Undivided love of good.
