Before I began the study of it...
Before I began the study of it, I had heard of Christian Science many times. I often wondered what the religion was all about.
After the First World War, I was suffering from grief, dysentery and anemia, and the doctors were not able to help me. One night the thought came to me that I should try this Science. The next morning I telephoned to a practitioner who lived near my home, because I did not think I could walk very far.
The practitioner was very warmhearted and talked to me of God. Together we studied the Bible Lesson, which is provided in the Christian Science Quarterly, and then she gave me a treatment through prayer. I left her home feeling as though I were walking on air. I was healed.
