In the Bible we read these words of Jesus (Matt. 6:25, 3:3) : "I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? ... But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." And in the Preface to Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy writes (p vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings."' These are truths which I have had the privilege of proving.

In December, 1958, together with all the employees of the firm for which I had been working for about eight years, I received a letter of dismissal because the firm was being liquidated. It seemed to be a difficult time to find employment, but I wrote to a practitioner and asked for help in Christian Science. I studied the two quotations given above and also prayed to understand that man always expresses the activity of Spirit, God, and that he has an established function in God 's spiritual creation.

I applied for employment to several firms, but the salaries offered would not have enabled me to support my family. Then after about two months as I was returning home one day from hunting for a position and was keeping my thought firmly fixed on Truth, my wife met me and told me happily that someone had telephoned in response to an application I had made.
