Two Rivers Reporter
Two Rivers, Wisconsin (Society).
Dedication of the building of Christian Science Society, Two Rivers, Wisconsin, located at 1630 28th Street, was observed in services at 10.45 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. Sunday.
The first Christian Science services at Two Rivers were held early in 1918 in different homes by a few persons interested in the study of Christian Science. Regular services were first held in the Hamilton Hotel parlor and after January 18, 1925, in the basement assembly room of the hotel.
On August 18, 1925, the group was recognized as a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. ...
The society grew, and on May 21, 1953, a lot at Monroe and 28th Streets was purchased. Construction of the new church building was begun at once, and the first service was held in it on January 31, 1954.—Two Rivers Reporter(January 30, 1961).
