Our Gift of Love
"Love is never wasted. The more freely it is given, the more freely it tends to flow"
"A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men" (Prov. 18:16). In Bible times men used to send gifts to gain audience and favor with those in high positions. However, offerings were often honest gestures of good will. Before Jacob went forth to meet his estranged brother, Esau, he sent ahead many gifts of cattle and sheep, the outward sign of his desire to be at peace with his brother.
