My gratitude for Christian Science...
My gratitude for Christian Science is unbounded, for I can recall many times when healing and regeneration have been the rewards of reliance on God as the only power, the only Life.
At one time I was in danger of passing on from injuries received when a car in which I was a passenger overturned on an icy road. The help of a Christian Science practitioner had been requested, and he sent me this message: "The grateful are safe."
Lying helpless and in pain, I resented having to be grateful. Then my thought turned to some of the words of a hymn from the Christian Science Hymnal (No. 275),
