I am so grateful for Christian Science...

I am so grateful for Christian Science that words cannot adequately express my sincere feelings. Since I started to study this religion four years ago, my family and I have had numerous proofs of God's great love for His children. My first healing in Science was of extreme nervousness and the fear of losing my mind. When I realized and accepted the truths that there is only one God, who is the one divine Mind, and that Mind can never be lost, my body responded to my improved thinking, and the physical effects of the nervousness disappeared.

Recently I experienced a healing of the aftereffects of a miscarriage. I had to have help from a Christian Science practitioner for about three months before my thought was purified to the degree that the physical healing took place. I could see after about a month or so that my motive for having Christian Science treatment should be to gain a clearer understanding of God, to feel His presence and a desire for His will to guide me in my everyday experience, and not to seek help only for the purpose of overcoming a physical ailment.

During the time that I was working out this physical difficulty, I was also healed of being envious. I realized that all my life I had envied others who had nice homes and who had parents who expressed concern and love for them. Almost as quickly I realized the truth that God is man's real Parent and the only creator of man, His idea. At that moment I felt so strongly God's love for me and for all men that a peaceful feeling followed.
