This testimony is written with a heart full of gratitude to our heavenly Father for His wonderful gift, Christian Science, and for His blessings and protection. About twenty-one years ago I turned to Christian Science for healing. I was suffering from a condition which had been diagnosed by the medical profession as rheumatic fever and which was affecting my heart. The verdict of the doctors was that my heart would he permanently affected, I was always fatigued and weak and slept little. Childbirth, they said, was out of the question.

A dear friend spoke to me of Christian Science, stating that it heals all kinds of disease. I thereupon attended a Wednesday evening meeting in a Church of Christ, Scientist, and was greatly impressed by the testimonies of healing which were given by members of the congregation. From then on, I began to study the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and to read all the Christian Science literature and periodicals. The true nature of God began to dawn upon me. His all-pervading goodness became a reality.

I visited a Christian Science practitioner and told him of the medical diagnosis and also that I was very much troubled as the result of family strife. He patiently helped me to discern man as the spiritual offspring of God and to separate him from the false mortal picture constituted of faults and guile. The practitioner further helped me to realize that as the reflection of divine Love, God, I was actually loving, and that all men express the qualities of omnipotent, omnipresent Love.
