WORDS OF CURRENT INTEREST
[The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly designated to be read in Christian Science churches on March 5, 1961.]
Lord Of Hosts (Isa. 14:24) Jehovah or Yahweh as supreme over all, including the hosts of heaven; this name for God is often used in the Old Testament.
Emanations
(em' a-na' shunz—e as in end, first a as in sofa, second as in ace, u as in circus). An emanation is literally a flowing forth; hence a quality or property issuing from a source.
