About seven years ago my husband...
About seven years ago my husband and I were driving at a very moderate speed when a car coming from the opposite direction and out of control crashed into us. The impact was so great that the door beside me flew open, and I was thrown out against the curbing, suffering severe head injuries. My husband was not badly hurt.
He held me so that I was comfortable, and we immediately declared that God is ever present and knows no accidents. The people in the neighborhood heard the crash, and someone called the police and an ambulance. My husband gave the telephone number of a Christian Science practitioner to a bystander and requested him to call the number and ask the practitioner to come to our home.
The intern with the ambulance wished to take me to the hospital to have my head wounds stitched, but my husband explained that we were Christian Scientists and asked him to take us home. The intern did no more than put a bandage around my head, with no medication.
