Many years ago, at a time of great need, I borrowed Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy from a Christian Science Reading Room and studied it for a time. At a later date I returned to this study, but did not seem to be able to stay with it because of my false concept of what it meant. This time I put the Bible and Science and Health away and vowed I would never open them again. However, the angel thought, "God is omnipotent," persisted in my thinking as time went on. Whenever it came, it gave me such a sense of peace.

One day while in a beauty parlor I picked up a Sentinel and started reading it, and the resentment and resistance completely disappeared. A short time later I had a severe attack of bladder trouble, from which I had been suffering for a long time. The doctors had said the only solution was an operation to relieve the pressure. With the help of a Christian Science practitioner, the healing was complete within two weeks.

I was also healed of a nervous breakdown which took the form of fear, especially fear of being alone. With the help of practitioners and a few weeks' stay at a Christian Science nursing home, I was able to return to my own home and resume my activities again.
