Opportunities for Large City Branches

Many branches of The Mother Church located in large city areas are meeting the challenge of changing neighborhoods through turning to God for inspiration and guidance. Ways have unfolded in which to serve their communities more effectively through a fuller expression of love and more alertness to share the treasures of Truth with their fellow men.

A branch in the midwestern United States writes that it is affording increasing proof of its usefulness in a city's business district. They say:

"In the past year we have continued the orderly beautifying of our edifice, including installation of air conditioning, complete remodeling of our two main-floor rest rooms, provision of a nursery rest room, and organ repairs. All of this has been fully paid for. In addition, we have contributed toward the dedication of another branch in our city. We have also raised the amount of our monthly contribution to The Mother Church. We recount these facts merely to point up the unity of thought, the alertness, and the love being expressed by our membership, for there have been marked joy and harmony impelling all this giving to the Cause of Christian Science.
