"The earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea" (Hab. 2:14). These words are surely being proved today through Christian Science, and it is with joy that I submit my testimony of gratitude for this wonderful religion.

Many physical difficulties have been healed through the application of Science, and although I am very grateful for these blessings, I am still more grateful for the understanding and inspiration I have gained since I have over-come these difficulties. Some of the healings have come about through the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner and some through my own prayerful study.

One day when my eldest daughter was very young, her hand became wedged above the hinge of a heavy door, which had slammed tightly shut. After her hand was released I was told what had taken place, and I immediately went into another room and prayed as I had learned to pray in Christian Science. I recalled the account in the twelfth chapter of Matthew of Jesus' healing of the man with the withered hand. Inspiration and gratitude filled my thought, and I felt at peace; I knew that all was well. Shortly I went in to see my daughter, and she had stopped crying and was using the hand normally. There was no discoloration, nor were any other aftereffects experienced.
