At the end of the First World War, I was discharged from the Royal Air Force with a disability pension and told that I would always be lame.
My introduction to Christian Science came when I was preparing for my first public concert as a singer, and my teacher recommended that I see a Christian Science practitioner for help in overcoming fear.
I did not turn to Christian Science for healing, but rather for a better understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him.
