Fruitage from Literature Distribution Work

The distribution of noncurrent Christian Science literature is an effective way of reaching the receptive thought, bringing healing and regeneration. Our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 518), "The rich in spirit help the poor in one grand brotherhood, all having the same Principle, or Father; and blessed is that man who seeth his brother's need and supplieth it, seeking his own in another's good."

A branch church in London, England, tells of several instances in which the giving of our used literature proved most helpful:

"A woman in a cleaner's shop accepted a copy of the Christian Science Sentinel. She had been unable to find suitable employment and was discouraged and unhappy. Within a month, after one or two talks with the committee workers, she began reading Science and Health. With a new and uplifted outlook, she found a journalistic post which suited her. She now has her own copy of the textbook and continues to study.
