WORDS OF CURRENT INTEREST
[The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly designated to be read in Christian Science churches on November 12, 1961.]
Reserved in heaven for you (I Pet. 1:4)
In some early manuscripts of the Greek text, we find the word hemas (us) instead of humas (you), and for this reason a marginal note in some editions of the King James Version gives the alternative rendering, "For us"; but it may be noted that the manuscript evidence, when taken as a whole, is strongly in favor of the familiar rendering eis humas (for you).
Unfeigned (I Pet. 1:22)
