When Christian Science was...
When Christian Science was introduced to me, I was in great need of healing, both of physical difficulties and of many fears that held me in bondage to such an extent I had become completely discouraged. I was suffering from a back condition of long duration and also from a throat infection which the medical profession had not been able to cure.
A dear one who was a student of Christian Science said to me, "There is nothing impossible to God." Those words gave me great encouragement. I had a husband and three young children to care for, and I felt I had to make a decision either to continue depending upon material aid or to turn to God.
I went to God in prayer and was led to visit a Christian Science practitioner, who explained to me the spiritual truths of perfect God and perfect man. Through my study of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures' by Mary Baker Eddy, my back and throat were healed; a sense of fatigue and discouragement left me, and I became free from fears, including that of being alone.
