Signs of the Times
The Chronicle-Tribune
From an editorial
in The Chronicle-Tribune
Marion, Indiana
How to live wisely and well is a serious matter. There are so many influences to deflect us from the straight and narrow path that we need to give heed to the aids to right living...three of which we deem particularly helpful....
The first of these aids is the Ten Commandments....They enjoin the reverence of God, the observance of the Sabbath, the honoring of parents, the sanctity of human life, and purity, honesty, and unselfishness. These Commandments were not given to abridge life or interfere with its enjoyment. Their design is to make one's life safe and promote one's happiness. They are like guideposts along the highway.
