Our daughter, when a small child, spent a happy morning playing in our wooded lot in which a certain plant had begun to bloom. When she came indoors at lunch time, her face was swollen and inflamed, and other evidences of hay fever were apparent.
When I telephoned a Christian Science practitioner for help, she said, "Can you conceive of a kind and loving Father creating a plant for His children to enjoy and at the same time giving it the capacity to make them sick?"
It was instantly clear to me that such a situation could not exist, and I answered, "That is impossible."
