Mary Baker Eddy says in "Miscellaneous Writings" (pp. 144, 145), "The Church, more than any other institution, at present is the cement of society, and it should be the bulwark of civil and religious liberty."
The Mother Church is a strong support in a troubled world. Often we receive letters from newly admitted members telling us of the great joy that has come to them through the blessings of Church membership.
Application blanks and information concerning Church membership may be obtained at Christian Science Reading Rooms, from clerks of branch churches or societies, from practitioners listed in The Christian Science Journal or in The Herald of Christian Science, or from the Clerk of The Mother Church.
