My parents took up the study of Christian Science when I was about four years old, and for many years I had the privilege of living in a home where Christian Science was used to meet every need. So-called children's diseases were quickly overcome.

My father had been a sickly boy and when very young was told by the doctors that he would never live to reach middle age. He had a sister who had visited in the home of a devoted Christian Scientist who was a student of Mrs. Eddy. It was through my aunt that my father and mother learned of Christian Science and decided to have a practitioner for my father. In a very short time he was healed. Although he had sold all his stock and tools, thinking he would never be able to work again, lie went back to farming. He lived to be over ninety years old.

My mother was healed of rheumatism In reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. She later had class instruction.
