The meeting was opened with the singing of Hymn No. 202, O dreamer, leave thy dreams for joyful waking. The chairman, William R. Knox, of Boston, Massachusetts, read a letter of greeting from The Christian Science Board of Directors and a message from the Board of Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society. Silent prayer was followed by the audible repetition of the Lord's Prayer.

Dear Fellow Members:

It is a pleasure to greet you on this happy occasion when so many members of The Mother Church come together to consider the blessings that flow from the periodicals founded by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
