Doctors were in constant attendance...
Doctors were in constant attendance on me during my childhood, especially for a heart condition. Years later, just before I left home for a far country, an older sister told me of Christian Science and what it had done for her. I was at once interested, and when I was at the other side of the world and alone, I purchased Science and Health. While I was still reading the early chapters, the heart difficulty recurred one night.
Remembering that m sister had told me there were consecrated people called practitioners who could be called on for help in Christian Science when it was needed, I determined to find one somehow and be healed of this trouble forever. Radiant joy filled my consciousness. Instantly I felt an adjustment take place in the affected organ. All pain ceased. I lay down and went to sleep! The healing was permanent.
My gratitude knew no bounds, and this most conclusive proof of spiritual healing resulting from wholehearted acceptance of the truths of Christian Science was with me to encourage me through the years to come.
