On May 17, 1934, a meeting of those interested in Christian Science was held at a private house in Springs. ... At this meeting it was decided to hold Sunday morning services in a private house. In November of the same year, the Supper Room in the Masonic Hall, First Avenue, was rented, and services were held there until June, 1936, when a room in John Orr's Building was rented for the purpose.
Later in 1936, a large room at 35a First Avenue was taken for the holding of church services. In May of the same year The Christian Science Board of Directors of The Mother Church recognized this group as Christian Science Society, Springs. ...
