The Standard of Perfection
"There can never be any separation between
God and His idea, man"
The author once enrolled in a college course in the history of religion. When the teachings of Christian Science were discussed, the instructor, who was an ordained minister, illustrated the difference in belief between his denomination and Christian Science by describing a stairway leading up to God. Somewhat facetiously he said: "Here I am, climbing slowly and laboriously up the stairs, trying to get to God. And here is the Christian Scientist, standing right by His side."
