My first healing in Christian Science...

My first healing in Christian Science took place forty years ago while I was reading the chapter on Prayer in Science and Health. I was overwhelmed with the belief that I could not cope with all the duties in my home life and was at the point of a nervous breakdown.

From a child I had been taught to love the Bible; but after my marriage, I had found little or no help or inspiration in reading it. However, when Science and Health came into my hands, Mrs. Eddy's interpretation of the Lord's Prayer on pages 16 and 17 caught my attention one evening when I was sitting alone. The last portion particularly inspired me. It reads:
