THREE ESSENTIALS
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Harriet and James were questioning their father about how to use some of the truths of God they were learning in their study of Christian Science. To their surprise, their father reached into his wallet and brought out a five-dollar bill. He offered it to James, who eagerly accepted it and thanked his father for it. Then Father asked James to tell them what he had thought when he first saw the money.
James thought for a minute and said, "I recognized the paper in your hand as a five-dollar bill, and I knew that it had value."
Then Father asked James what he would have said had he recognized the money as counterfeit.
