DEMONSTRATING THE TRUE SENSE OF HOME

The true sense of home can and should be demonstrated here on earth. Just as music can be played aright or mathematics demonstrated scientifically by our following applicable rules, so the heaven within us can be evidenced in our human experience as a comfortable and happy home. Persistent prayer, inspiration, and obedience to divine law will assure success in this demonstration.

Prayer is of first importance, because to pray aright is to desire aright, and desire motivates true accomplishment. Many practical people may think that they desire a house and family, believing that the harmonious, homelike atmosphere will develop afterward.

Christian Science shows them how much more practical it is to exchange their uncertain haphazard thinking about home for a plan that can be worked out scientifically. By focusing their efforts on seeking heaven, harmony, within, Science shows them how to purify their desires, for within consciousness alone the kingdom of heaven or ideal home exists, as Christ Jesus said. When through prayer a clearer understanding of home is achieved, an improved concept of home appears in human experience.
