Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

San Diego, California (Fourth Church).

Christian Scientists of La Jolla will formally dedicate the edifice of Fourth Church of Christ, Scientist, San Diego, California, at 1270 Silverado Street, La Jolla, on Sunday, November 30, 1958. Two dedicatory services will be held, the first at 11 a.m., and the second at 3 p.m. All are welcome to attend these services.

A group of La Jolla residents held their first Christian Science service on Christmas Day, 1921, in a remodeled, rented cottage on the corner of Girard and Silverado Streets. ... In July, 1922, the group was formally recognized as Christian Science Society, La Jolla, a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
