At the request of local branch churches, The Mother Church continues to conduct special meetings in the Field in the interest of Christian Science college organization activities. These informal church meetings are in addition to the campus workshop visits which have been conducted for some years. The church meetings usually include from the surrounding community some of the following groups of people: precollege pupils of high school age who are enrolled in Sunday School, Sunday School teachers and officers, executive board members, college organization information committees, parents of high school and college students.

Oftentimes nearby college organizations and their members are invited to give brief reports during these informal meetings. On such occasions the general purpose is to consider and forward the mission of Christian Science organizations at colleges and universities, formed in accordance with Article XXIII, Section 8, of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy. Further information about these special gatherings affecting young people may be obtained by writing to the College Organization Division, Department of Branches and Practitioners, of The Mother Church.

Reports of healing, spiritual activity, and progress continue to reach The Mother Church from organizations and their members. The following one was received from the southern part of the United States:
