Christian Science is the most wonderful thing that has ever come into my life.

Twenty-two years ago a sister learned of this Science, and when she saw me suffering from a carbuncle, she tried to get me to read a few lines in a Sentinel. She said, "It will show you how God can heal you."

I was suffering too much to read, but I did try to sing hymns from an orthodox hymnal. We were unable to get in touch with a Christian Science practitioner on the island that particular evening, but all this while my sister was holding to the truth of perfect God and perfect man.
