HOSPITALITY OF THE CHRIST
Drawn
to the radiance of the Christ they come
Unto the open door, so trustingly.
Seeking the shelter of their heavenly home,
With faith that Love will greet them tenderly.
Are these but weary mortals seeking rest,
Calling for help to loose the chains of fear,
Burdened by the world, beset, oppressed?
Let no such dream of evil enter here!
Children of God are they, for at the door
The Christ stands with them, if they will but heed,
Coming anew as he has come before
With power of Love to meet the human need.
Pour out the water for the thirsty one,
Offer the bread of Life abundantly,
Hear the Word of God, hear the perfect Son
Say, "Ye have done it even unto me."
