SPIRITUAL STRENGTH
Students of Scripture have long been encouraged by the story of Paul and Silas, who sang praises to God when bound and in prison. The strength of their joy was the outgrowth of their consecrated lives. Faithful following and demonstrating of the Christ, Truth, in promoting the gospel of pure Christianity evidenced the true motives which enhanced their strength.
Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 454), "Right motives give pinions to thought, and strength and freedom to speech and action."
Since spiritual strength has its source in God, omnipotent good, it is forever permanent. One who identifies his real selfhood with God, divine Principle, as Love's idea, knows strength, for strength is inseparable from the Father and His spiritual offspring.
