LETTERS TO THE PRESS FROM CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

East Grinstead Observer East Grinstead, Sussex, England

I was interested to note the quotation which your paper printed from the Copthorne Parish Magazine under the heading "Christian Science — 'a strange cult.' "

Had the members of Christ's church practised spiritual healing all these years as our Lord commanded, Christian Science healing would be readily understood, and not regarded as "strange."

Moreover, Christian Science is not a "cult," but a deeply religious way of life whereby living, outlook, moral values and health are brought into practical subordination to the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.
