North Penn Reporter
Lansdale, Pennsylvania (First Church).
First Church of Christ, Scientist, Lansdale, dedicated its church edifice at Elm Drive and Broad Street with special services on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. . . .
It was on March 4, 1935, that a small group of members of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, started the organization of a branch church in Lansdale. Their first service was held in the auditorium of the Conservatory of Music at 11 West Main Street on April 7. Then on June 1 a Christian Science Reading Room was opened in the Dresher Arcade. In September of the same year, First Church of Christ, Scientist, Lansdale, was recognized as a branch of The Mother Church.
