RADIO PROGRAM No. 324 - Overcoming Fear of Things Going Wrong

Speaker: So often people accept illness, accident, and financial trouble as part of everyday life and believe that nothing can be done about these things. Our guest today saw such conditions in his home as a boy. But when his family gained a clearer understanding of God, he saw many changes take place. We've asked John Forbes, of Battle Creek, Michigan, to tell you his experience.

Mr. Forbes: Well, to go back some years, as a child it seemed as if we constantly had illness and accidents, and there was always a great deal of lack in our family. We were generally afraid something was going to happen, and it frequently did. I was often kept at home because of illness, and I was always having some kind of accident.

From my earliest time, I can remember my mother as always being in very poor health. She was on a strict diet as the result of what the doctors referred to as a very serious digestive disorder. Also, she was a chronic sufferer from a severe case of sinus trouble and had been told that only a major operation could improve the condition.
