I am grateful for the Christian Science...

I am grateful for the Christian Science Sunday School, where we learn, among other things, the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, and the Lord's Prayer, with its spiritual interpretation by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

I had a wonderful healing after I accidentally slipped on our lawn hose and fell on concrete. I bumped my head so hard that everything seemed to be whirling around. My mother helped me up, and I walked into the house and sat on a chair. This thought came to me: God is Life, and Love protects.

I was more grateful than ever for the ninety-first Psalm, which I repeated. Also that very morning my mother and I had studied some of the Bible Lesson from the Christian Science Quarterly. The subject was "Soul."

A Christian Science practitioner was called on the telephone and was asked to help me. Soon all was well again. I returned to play outdoors with my guests.

My father felt the big bump on my head when he came home. The next morning he tried to find the bump again. It was all gone, and it did not even hurt there. In fact, I had forgotten all about it.

So I know to be conscious is to know the truth. Is it not good' we have this truth to use each day?

God has been our only medicine. Because of this, I have never had any so-called childhood diseases or contagious ones.

We are grateful to God and to Christ Jesus and to Mrs. Eddy and to the fine practitioners, who give their time to pray for others.— Philip Jay Martin, Jr., Miami, Florida.
