ORDERLY LIVING

To live usefully and successfully, one must express order. He must keep out confusion and must let the realization that God governs all dominate his activities. The poet uttered a great metaphysical truth when he said, "Order is Heav'n's first law." One can easily see that his life is orderly in the degree that he becomes conscious of God's kingdom, which is within him as Christ Jesus said. When one learns to look within his own consciousness for order rather than to external conditions and influences, he becomes a law unto himself, and he is orderly in his living.

Christian Science reveals the order of heaven, which includes the great fact that perfect cause produces perfect effect, perfect Father creates perfect son. This is the order of real existence, and it constitutes the law of perfection, which cannot be changed but must be worked out in practical application.

Mary Baker Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (pp. 470, 471), "The relations of God and man, divine Principle and idea, are indestructible in Science; and Science knows no lapse from nor return to harmony, but holds the divine order or spiritual law, in which God and all that He creates are perfect and eternal, to have remained unchanged in its eternal history."
