BLOTTING OUT ERROR

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Betsy stood by the table watching her mother, who had a blotter in one hand. With the other hand she was applying liquid from a tiny bottle to some ink marks on a paper. Then she blotted the paper. Pointing to the bottle, Betsy asked, "Mommy, what is it?"

"Ink eradicator," answered her mother. "That's a long word, isn't it? E-rad-i-ca-for." Betsy repeated the word after her and then wanted to know more about it.
