WHAT IS AN EPIDEMIC?
Epidemics , which are always based on fear, can become a part of our experience only in the degree that we allow fear to control our thinking. Erroneous belief must first be accepted mentally; for without some degree of human acknowledgment, no material effect can be manifested.
It is only in the so-called mortal mind that erroneous beliefs can originate. We are either rejecting mortal mind's suggestions or we are accepting them. The body can manifest nothing independent of thought.
Christ Jesus, the greatest physician the world has ever known, healed all manner of fear and sickness without material remedies. Today any temporary benefit seemingly derived from material means can be achieved only by blind faith in the medication prescribed. When millions of people cease to fear an epidemic, for one reason or another, the epidemic dissipates temporarily. But the fear of its return is kept alive as long as the belief in material power remains.
